ACCESSORIES FOR BASKETS: LOAD LIMITER

The Load Limiting device is a necessary addition when the planking level area of the basket is more than 1 m2, in this case the solution is to install a redundant two-way a load cell, inside the adequately modified suspension pivot, and an electronic card on the crane’s arm.

The card receives and elaborates the signal sent from the load cell and, in case of exceeding the pre-calibrated limit, it sends a signal that blocks the machine.

The calibration is manual and it is executed through buttons, which are installed on the card, with the corresponding visualization led.

The referring normative is the EN 13849-1 Pl d Category 3, that is the normative currently regulating the utilization of the safety systems according to EN 280 in conformity with Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE.
